Pathway To Success

Riders looking to make the leap into professional cycling are confronted by a multitude of barriers. Black Spoke aims to remove obstacles where possible and help turn dreams into reality, cycling into a viable career proposition. Creating this pathway is no mean feat but with clear direction, resources and a world-class performance culture, no mountain is too high. There are three pillars that inform everything we do.

The goal is simple. To have New Zealand cyclists competing and winning on the World Tour, the pinnacle of road cycling. By acting as an intermediary between amateur ranks and the highest level, Black Spoke seeks to benefit not only the riders but the wider sporting community

By providing the infrastructure necessary for Kiwi cyclists to grow, Black Spoke removes barriers faced by prospective athletes. Our mission is to have as many team members as possible progress to top Pro Continental and World Tour teams. On the highway to success there are no off-ramps.

No mission is possible without the strategy needed to effect it. Black Spoke seeks the best cycling talent from Kaitaia to the Bluff. No stone is left unturned! With the right mentoring and a carefully planned development and racing schedule, Black Spoke is an enabling factor that transforms riders into their best self

Ambitious projects are impossible to achieve without ambitious partners. Black Spoke are proud to have an incredible network of brands passionate about the future of New Zealand cycling
